Terms of Service
Last updated: May 20, 2026
These terms are written to be read by a human, not a lawyer. If anything is unclear, email us.
1. The service
Hooks receives webhook events from third-party services (such as Stripe, Shopify, and GitHub), applies your filter and template rules, and forwards formatted notifications to your chosen channel — Email, Slack, Discord, or a custom webhook URL. Hooks stores the original event payload so you can replay deliveries at any time within your plan's retention window.
Hooks is provided by TinyKomainu, a Japanese business (contact: mk@natrium.co.jp).
2. Your account
You sign in with Google or email. You're responsible for keeping your account secure. Don't share access — each account is for one person or one team, depending on your plan.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Hooks. By using the service, you confirm that you are.
3. Plans and payment
Free plan: No payment required. No credit card required. No expiration. The free tier is genuinely free.
Paid plans (Pro, Team):Require a valid payment method, processed by Stripe. Billing is monthly. You're charged at the start of each billing period.
All prices are in USD. No surprise charges. We'll email you before any price change.
Monthly event quota: Free includes 100 events per month; Pro includes 5,000; Team includes 50,000. On Free, events received after you hit the limit are stored but not processed until the next period or until you upgrade. On Pro and Team, up to 10% over your limit is included at no extra charge; usage beyond that may be billed at $0.001 per event when metered billing is enabled.
4. Signing secrets and your sources
You are responsible for keeping signing secrets confidential and for configuring webhooks only for services you are authorized to use. Hooks verifies signatures using the secret you provide; we cannot tell whether you had permission to receive a given source's events.
5. Cancellation
Cancel anytime from the billing page. Two clicks. No cancellation form, no retention dark patterns, no "please stay" loop.
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. We don't issue refunds for partial months.
If you want a refund for an exceptional reason, email us at mk@natrium.co.jp. We'll handle it like a person, not a policy.
6. What we do and don't promise
We aim to acknowledge incoming webhooks within 5 seconds — the timeout most webhook providers (Stripe, Shopify, GitHub) use before considering a delivery failed. Filter and template processing happens asynchronously after acknowledgment. If a delivery to your channel fails, we retry with exponential backoff for up to 24 hours.
We don't promise that every event will reach its destination — your Slack workspace might be down, your custom webhook URL might be unreachable, or your email provider might bounce. What we do promise: every delivery attempt is logged, and you can replay any event from the Logs tab.
We don't promise 100% uptime for Hooks itself. We're a small team. We try hard to be reliable, and if Hooks has a significant outage, we'll post about it publicly.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Hooks to receive webhooks on behalf of services you don't have permission to access. Don't create fake accounts to bypass free-tier limits. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the service.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules. We'll contact you first unless the violation is severe.
8. Limitation of liability
Hooks is a routing and notification tool, not a guarantee of delivery. We're not liable for damages caused by missed or delayed webhook events, or by failures in third-party services (Slack, Stripe, GitHub, etc.) that prevent delivery.
Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
We'll email you and post an in-app notice at least 14 days before making material changes. You have that time to review and cancel if you disagree. Continuing to use Hooks after changes take effect means you accept them.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. TinyKomainu is a Japanese business. Disputes will be handled in Japanese courts, unless we agree otherwise.
